This is an exciting time at the Digital Education Foundation.
There are 18 stories in various stages of completion.
However, the stories being previewed on April 17 are from
especially talented girls with amazing focus. I certainly hope
that you will attend and encourage each of these young ladies
to stay committed to positive activities.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
With a strong focus on urban girls, the Digital Stories by Girls
After-school program is operated by BirthName Films with
funding from Mass IMPACT. Girls ages 9.5 to 17 years old
participate five days a week over the academic school year
learning video and digital story techniques. They each receive
hands on experience with camera operation and computer
based video editing. We attend theatre shows, art exhibitions,
movies and social events. The program is open to all girls from
any part of the city.
